Yup! Forza 3 is available to the public, and I’m sure that thousands and thousands of people have already played more than I have. But although my finger is STILL sore, I’m going to suck it up and play some more tonight. I don’t care if I don’t get home from work until near midnight, and I don’t care if my finger actually DOES get a real crack in it the shape of a Dodge Viper. It’s time to tear this week apart! There was actually some news this week, so Riddles should finally be able to give you all a Hey! Look! Listen! with real content for the first time in a while. Until then, go out and play Forza 3 along with me, or look forward to my gushing about it.
I don’t get how you can actually hurt your finger playing a driving game, I only tend to hurt my hand on fighting games.
It’s because the trigger is the gas, and I held down the button intensely for seven hours straight.
Oh, I get it, I guess it’s pressure sensitive so if you don’t push it down all the way then you won’t go as fast as you can. (I haven’t played a racing game since the PS2)
Eeexxaactly! While I’m not always at full speed – the analog is often necessary – I am often enough to give me sore finger!
Yeah I can definitely see how holding your finger in the same position all day could lead to it becoming stiff and sore. If you had a PSP I’d recomend you play a round of Dissidia between every race … something short like that.
But I’m too addicted! I can’t stop! Even for a few minutes!! I’ll just wear a band-aid
Dissidia isn’t a few minutes, more like 30 seconds (depending on difficulty and level), just something to free up your fingers for next race. You’ll miss out on more Forza 3 if you completely fuck your fingers.
A little off topic, but I just wanted to say I’m liking these more focused theme weeks. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the broad, sweeping ones, too, but it’s good to have more specific, topical content for the theme week sometimes. One of these days, I may even get my shit together enough to play a game along with the theme week, so I can actually contribute to the conversations. At least, that is my dream. Some day… some day…
Honestly I don’t give a shit about Forza 3, but this is still better than Bioshock 2 week …
@Darth – Welcome feedback, thanks!
@SN – But you’re into GT5, no? I’ve loved GT since the first one, and this is really impressing me.
@Ethos- I have a very, very mild interest in racing games; GT3 was my only one of last generation, and GT5 will be my only one of this generation. They’re not something I actively follow.
This is actually only the third racing game I’ve owned (GT and GT3 being the others), and I don’t actively follow them either, just get excited about them when I actually pay attention. And I don’t know, after this, GT5 will have to really step up its game if I want to get it as well. Looking better (which it will), isn’t enough at this point.
It’s had so much time in development that I think it will be amazing, that’s the reason that I haven’t bought another racing game as of yet (including Prologue), as I only really care to buy one per generation.
