All We Want for Christmas is Your Forgiveness

Yeah, so you know how Ethos hinted that we might get off our asses and post some content this week, regardless of the fact that we’re on vacation?

If you’ve yet to notice, that definitely didn’t happen.

As ashamed as I am to show my face around here, I couldn’t neglect my readers on Christmas Day. So here I am, bringing you warm holiday wishes, and a piece of advice: Go. See. Avatar.

Yes, that movie with the weird-looking elongated smurfs. Go see it. It’s a landmark in sci-fi cinema. If I wasn’t bound to the crushing laziness of Christmas Break Week, I might go so far as to pen a review for it.

Actually, now that the thought is in my head, I probably will. Look for it sometime this weekend.

MERRY CHRISTMAS, Riddlethosians! I know you’ve seen this picture before, but seeing that it is, in fact, the greatest photograph ever taken, I figured I’d throw it up here again for your viewing pleasure.

Happy Holidays, you... ah, I can't say it. Merry Christmas, you lovely people.

If I wanted to throw my money away on some plasticy abuse of CG, I’d just insert it directly into George Lucas’ anus!

Avatar looked amazing, I’ll give it that, but beyond that I don’t think I cared much for it, sadly. I think it was a victim of it’s own hype in my mind. Plus the 3D gave me motion sickness, so I probably have trouble divorcing the movie itself from how crappy I felt while watching the last 45 minutes or so :F.

I think Hollywood really needs to learn how much CG animation is too much …

@SN: I thought the movie looked amazing, my problems were more plot-based than anything. I’m glad everybody else likes the movie so much, though :D.

Yeah, I just saw it. It’s really quite good. Pandora is incredibly realized. However, the movie DOES suffer from slapping its audience in the face with already obvious concepts. Like, even when a theme or concept is obvious, you’ll get a small speech about it, or a line that insults the intelligence a little. Otherwise, I was impressed. Much better than I expected.
