@Riddles: I think Sonic needs to be added to the Bioshock vs. FFIX picture on the front page, just for spite’s sake :D.

@Ethos: You’re definitely not alone in that opinion, I mean there’s a reason Sega’s been able to drag the series out for as long as it has. I’m just not a big fan of platformers (especially 3D ones, but that’s another story), and Sonic (at lest old-school 2D Sonic) is about as platformy as you can get without throwing in a bad camera angle. Like I said, I hope it’s good and everything that everybody’s wanted.

I’ve never even PLAYED a Sonic game, and I was happy to see that the trailer was 2D. It’s like Sega finally realized that they suck at making 3D sonics. Or, that Sonic himself just can’t cut the mustard in 3D.

(Not sure which, since I’ve never played!)

I have no interest in Sonic, never have, never will. It’s just not my type of game. It does, however, seem like Sega finally started LISTENING to the sonic fans who, as far as I can tell, have been begging for this for the better part of the last 5 years. I hope it sells well if for no other reason than it’ll teach Sega to give the people what they want :D.
