Tingle! Tingle! Kooloo-Limpah! #008

Okay, so I skipped a week and the most recent edition was a hangover edition. Still! Excepting Riddles’ random Sands of Time movie review and admittedly strong HLL, this week has been all me! So I’m back down to just two stories, because I only found two that moderately interested me.

First Non-Crystal Chronicles Non-Remake Final Fantasy on the DS Announced!

Modifiers, much? Still, I really wasn’t a fan of the Crystal Chronicle games or the wonky-looking remakes of III or IV, so this appears to be a breath of fresh air. The game – titled Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light and coming out October 5 – still has a similar 3D look to the other Final Fantasy DS games, but it appears to be a lot more stylized. It also appears to be less dumbed down from a customization standpoint, which is nice. I’m not holding my breath on this one, but I haven’t turned away completely yet…

Not that anybody cares, but the going rumour is that Natal will costs $150 on its onesies and $299 packed into an Arcade 360 unit. If I wasn’t sold before, I’m extra not sold now!

That’s it. Nothing else struck me as interesting. Super Mario Galaxy 2 review going up tomorrow! Also, we updated our “Upcoming” list. Click the appropriate top tab if you’re interested in what theme weeks we have for you in the coming months.

    -Greenday week? Really?!

-Project babby is full of so much fail, I doubt that M$ will even have the games to sell this colossal piece of garbage, unless they want to ruin potentially good games like GoW3 …

    *Green Day
And yes! That one has been revealed for a while now, actually. It’s Green Day Rock Band, and Riddles and I jumped at the excuse.

And nah, I think Natal will be reserved for their shitty games like Fable at first. If it starts to move to good games, it will be optional supplementary, not forced contrived necessity.

  3. SiliconNooB says:

Yeah, that’s what I said, Greenday.

  4. DarthGibblet says:

Yeah, I really doubt they’ll destroy 90-95% of their market base for the big games like Gears by requiring Babby support. It seems seem like they’re going after the Wii market more than anything else, so I don’t feel bad about completely ignoring it, same as I do the Wii.

  5. Ethos says:

@SN – Oh! Then I’m not sure what you’re talking about. Is Greenday a band? A game? A restaurant? The theme week we have is for Green Day, the fantastic band that’s popular to hate because they’re popular!

@Darth – The key word there is “require”. You might see integration. A popular example is the cockpit view of a driving game. Perhaps tilting your head would allow you to look around while you drive with standard controls. In a game like Mass Effect, maybe you could vocally issue squad commands. Not saying I WANT that or would USE that, I’m just saying it’s a possibility.

  6. SiliconNooB says:

Oh? I thought they were just popular to hate because they suck?

  7. Ethos says:

Bah-ha, it’s a common misconception of those not properly familiar!

  8. DarthGibblet says:

@Ethos: Yeah, that’s the type of thing I figured you were talking about, and I wouldn’t at all be surprised if those show up (in fact, I’d be pretty surprised if they didn’t)
