E3, Mother Fuckers!

Well whaddaya know? Riddles actually was able to provide consistent, entertaining, and informative content during my absentee weekend. People can still surprise you. Speaking of surprises, Microsoft’s press conference hasn’t even started and there’s already news trickling out of E3.

Well, let’s just call it precum and get the comparison out of the way. USA Today leaked one of Microsoft’s “big” announcements for their press conference. The article has since been taken down, but Microsoft later confirmed that Natal is officially named “Kinect”. Yup, that just happened. So far a bunch of apps and rip-off Nintendo games have been confirmed. Also, a Star Wars game. So… E3 has started with a bang? I was going to keep an open mind with these new controllers, but when all you have is Nintendogs and Wii Sports, I’m a hard sell.

Keep your eyes glued! Riddlethos will be providing E3 2010 reactions all week!

So far their conference is the most embarassing one I’ve seen in a long time.

    Absolutely it was. Wow.

The world has a second Nintendo …

  4. Ethos says:

3 worst moments coming in a bit.

Bwahaha. I nominate: Kinect Sports, the horribly awkward video chat, and Skittles.

I thought it was just dull. What I like about E3 is millionaire executives acting like fools and getting giddy over news and ideas that are either mundane or outright stupid. I think MS blew its load of craziness at last night’s party (you guys read about it? it sounded completely insane) and today’s conference was just a bland series of demos that didn’t allow any of the wonderful fall-on-your-face moments that are the only reason why I even watch E3. It wasn’t embarassing or interesting. It was safe.

The only real highlight for me was having the blasian chick rock her dance moves, then following it up with an awkward white nerd with a Queer Eye makeover showing that no matter how much gel is in your hair, white guys cannot dance. The car porn memo was kinda funny for the wrong reasons as well. Compared to a normal E3, those were really tame moments though.

It was colossally embarrassing, I still can’t believe what just happened …

  8. Ethos says:

You didn’t find any of that embarrassing, Glenn? Seriously? Well you ARE made of stone. That was really tough to watch.

When Neckflex Cammie, Ravi Drums, and a monologue on how the Vitality Sensor is a gamechanger are my recent E3 standards for embarrassment, no. Skittles, Awkward White Guy Dancing, and Car Porn Demo were the three funniest parts to me, but not really in the “I’m laughing at you not with you” way that I prefer, and they were no where close to what I’ve come to expect and love to hate about E3.
